At home just like in mummy´s tummy
Paderborn 20.01.2011 - for 95% of all parents, safety is the main factor when choosing baby furniture. This was taken from a survey from young mums and mums to be, carried out by Wellemöbel. Other important factors are also taken into consideration, including health, quality, design and practicability.
The survey also took into consideration the thoughts and fears of young parents. The results show that the young parents are wary of toxic chemicals that can have a negative impact on the children, and the fear of accidents from unsafe furniture also plays a part.
Wellemöbel, with the help of the survey, consequently took these wishes and demands of the parents to the product development and presented the new range with four baby bedrooms at this year’s IMM Cologne. Wellemöbel stresses high quality with its new four ranges Lasse, Jacob, Hugo and Milla, and this quality is mirrored in other areas. The new ranges stand out through new safety measures, high quality materials and new surface quality. The bedrooms – consisting of bed, wardrobe and changing table – have been given new colours in child friendly light designs. All pieces of furniture are convincing because of the excellent quality and have already been given the following awards: “GS”, “Blue Angel”, “Golden M”, and “Quality furniture, made in Germany”.
Keeping the well-being of the children firmly at the front, Wellemöbel has designed all-round safe furniture. One of the safety measures is the higher border on the changing table, doubled from a small 6cm to a safe 12cm, to ensure that the risk of babies falling off is reduced especially when they get bigger and start to move around more.
The SILENT SYSTEM used by Wellemöbel ensures that little fingers and hands do not get hurt. This system provides a slow and soft closing for drawers and doors. Another advantage is that the loudness is reduced somewhat. The round edges and corners also ensure that accident risk is reduced to a minimum, as well as the rounded high quality handles on chests and wardrobes.
When talking of functionality and long-life, Wellemöbel puts stress on “Mitwachsen”, this basically means the furniture changes and adapts as the child grows. On the baby bed, firstly a few struts can be removed, and then the whole side can be interchanged with side guards. The furniture adapts to the child until the bed eventually becomes a sofa! With the introduction of a junior bed (90x200cm) and the removal of the changing table from the chest, the bedroom cannot just be used as a nursery but up till the teenage years.
The demands from parents have not been ignored by Wellemöbel, during the development phase. The changing tables/chests are available in two heights (92cm & 98cm), so now there’s no excuse that the dads don’t change the nappies! The changing table can be assembled on the right or left hand side and it is completely closed to the wall, so that nothing can get lost. The space at the bottom is now even more comfortable so that the parents can be even closer to the little one.
Wellemöbel presents, after a comprehensive survey and intensive development, following NEW PRODUCTS in 2011. Depending on style and personal preferences, parents can choose from the following models
HUGO
Hugo presents itself in a friendly structured beech optic. The light fronts are offsetted with high gloss alpine white in a classical, timeless design. Parents can also be happy with the split drawers of the wide chest, perfect for keeping everything where it should be.
JACOB
Jacob is defined through clear lines and a natural finish, with the structured surface and the special wood haptic. Base, bed struts and handles are all matched colour wise in solid ash, which gives the bedroom a fresh and light atmosphere.
LASSE
LASSE is choice, between 2 fronts (high gloss or melamine) and 2 colours (lava or sand-grey). An ash carcass and cot struts as well as handles from solid wood give the bedroom a solid and robust look.
MILLA
The modern, innovative design of MILLA is accented through the different offset colours. The choice of high gloss colours, depending on taste together with the white carcass makes for a very modern baby room.
